A Mexican Teenager Invented a Bra That Detects Breast Cancer 墨國少年發明偵測乳癌胸罩 Julian Rios Cantu, an 18-year-old engineering student from Mexico, created a bra prototype which helps detect early stages of breast cancer. He won the top prize at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in Frankfurt, Germany, and earned a USD20,000 prize to develop his invention. 來自墨西哥18歲的工程系學生里奧斯康圖發明了可以偵測早期乳癌的胸罩原型。他在德國法蘭克福贏得了全球學生創業獎的首獎，並獲得兩萬美元的獎金以發展他的發明。 The idea of his project arose when his mother lost both breasts because of the cancer and almost died a couple of years ago. “EVA”, an intelligent bra, was invented by him and his three friends through their company Higia Technologies. 他作品的想法起源於幾年前他的母親因乳癌切除雙乳且幾乎病逝。智慧型胸罩「夏娃」，是由他跟三位朋友透過他們的公司「Higia Technologies」所研發。 The bra is equipped with around 200 small biosensors that map the surface of the breast and surrounding areas. The tactile sensors measure the breast’s temperature, shape, and weight. An increase in temperature, shape, and size could suggest more blood flow, which could be a sign of some types of cancer. 這款胸罩裝置約200個小型的生物感測器，可以鎖定乳房及周圍區域的表面。觸感偵測器可測量乳房的溫度、形狀及重量。溫度、形狀及尺寸的增加可能代表有較多血液流動，而此可能是某些癌症的徵兆。 “Why a bra? Because it allows the breasts to stay in the same position.
