Vast Differences in the Perception of Beauty between Men and Women 研究：男女對美的認知有巨大差異 A research report conducted through the recording of human beings’ brain wave changes with magnetic resonance imaging technology shows vast differences in the perception of beauty between men and women. Men tend to use their right brains to process things related to beauty, while women use their whole brains to process the task. 利用磁振造影技術記錄人類腦波變化所做的研究報告顯示，男性與女性在對美的認知上有明顯差異。男性傾向使用右腦來處理跟美相關的事物，女性則是用全腦來執行這項任務。 This research records that the brain waves of 20 experiment subjects changed as they view beautiful paintings or photographs of ugly cities. Research results indicate that women tend to form a connection between their visual object with language, while men tend to concentrate on the spatial aspect of the object. Men and women use different areas of their brains to process things related to beauty. 這項研究記錄20位實驗對象在看到美麗的畫作或醜陋城市的相片時，腦部產生的變化。研究結果發現，女性在接觸視覺目標時，往往會把它和語言做連結，男性則比較專注在物體的空間樣貌上。男性與女性使用腦中不同的區塊來處理跟美相關的事物。 According to research personnel, things such as the different methods with which men and women’s brains process space-related information is specific to the human society and is not seen in other animals.
