The NBA Opens First Academy in India 美國職籃在印度建立籃球學院 Ben and Wendy are housemates. 班跟溫蒂是室友。 Wendy: Hey, what are you doing? 溫蒂：嘿，你在做什麼啊？ Ben: I’m reading some sport news. 班：我在讀一些體育新聞。 Wendy: Is there anything interesting? 溫蒂：有什麼有趣的消息嗎？ Ben: Hmm, I think this article is interesting. The NBA officially opened their first academy in India. 班：嗯，我覺得這篇文章挺有趣的，美國職籃正式在印度開辦第一個學院。 Wendy: Wow, that’s unusual. Tell me more. 溫蒂：哇，那真特別，多告訴我一些詳情吧。 Ben: The NBA announced the official opening of the NBA Academy India a couple of days ago. It is an elite basketball training center for the top male and female prospects from India. 班：美國職籃在幾天前宣布印度NBA學院正式開辦。它是用來培養印度頂尖的男女籃球員的菁英訓練中心。 Wendy: That’s cool. 溫蒂：那真酷耶。 Ben: Twenty-one elite male prospects were selected through a nationwide basketball talent search. They will receive scholarships and training at the NBA Academy India. 班：21位男性菁英球員是透過全國籃球選秀所選出，他們將得到獎學金及印度NBA學院的訓練。 Wendy: I wonder what kind of training the NBA Academy India will provide for the athletes. 溫蒂：我真想知道印度NBA學院會給運動員們什麼樣的訓練。 Ben: The news said the NBA Academy India will employ a 360-degree approach to player development with focuses on education, leadership, and character development. 班：新聞說，印度NBA學院會使用全方位的方式來發展球員，重點會在教育、領導力及品格發展。 Wendy: That sounds like great training. 溫蒂：那聽起來是很棒的訓練耶。 Ben: Also, the athletes will compete against top competition throughout the year and will have an opportunity to be selected for travel teams that play in international tournaments. 班：而且，運動員們一年當中都會與強勁對手競爭，並有機會被選中參與旅外隊伍在國際賽事中出賽。 Wendy: I hope there’ll be an NBA Academy Taiwan in the future. 溫蒂：希望未來也會有台灣NBA學院。 |
