Yet it has been observed that certain occupations are associated with a higher suicide rate. A recent analysis done in England reveals which professions have the highest risk of suicide. 職業活動通常被認為是個人發展的源頭。但經觀察，某些職業有偏高的自殺率。一項英格蘭最近做的分析顯示出哪些職業有偏高的自殺風險。 In order to inform the government’s Suicide Prevention Strategy, an analysis of Office for National Statistics (ONS) has been carried out to gain a better understanding of factors that influence suicide. The ONS analysis shows that there are differences in the types of occupation where suicide is more common. 為配合政府的自殺防治策略，英國國家統計局進行了一項分析以更清楚了解影響自殺的因素。英國國家統計局的分析顯示，某些類型的職業自殺率偏高。 For women, occupations with a high risk of suicide include: nurses, elementary school teachers, and those working in culture, media, and sport. For men, low skilled laborers in construction had a risk that was 3 times higher than the average.
